A living architecture reflects a nation’s progress. Through its passion for design and construction Michiels Partners seeks to contribute to developing countries and bring a better living for communities. The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) was established in 1959 as a multilateral finance institution for development of Latin American countries. Its loans and grants help finance sustainable economy and social development projects and support strategies to reduce poverty, expand growth, increase trade, investment and regional integration, and promote private sector development and modernization of the state.

Michiels Partners was contracted by IDB to manage the reconstruction efforts in Haiti following the earthquake of 2010. The project included the construction of residential facilities and temporary office in Port-Au-Prince and included round-the-clock onsite supervision throughout construction. Michiels Partners was also commissioned to manage the construction of IDB’s new 35000 sq. ft. office facility in Managua Nicaragua. In addition to the Caribbean Islands and Central America MAP oversees development projects in Asia and South America.
