We are excited to announce the completion of a truly unique attic renovation that transformed a once-unused space into a stunning two-bedroom suite for two sisters. This project was not without its challenges—working with the attic's intricate geometry required creative problem-solving and precise design. But the result is a beautifully crafted, functional living area that strikes the perfect balance between individuality and connection.

Embracing the Challenge of Geometry

The low sloped ceilings and irregular angles typical of an attic space presented an exciting design challenge. Our team at Michiels Partners embraced the complexities, and created a dynamic and visually captivating layout. Custom-built features, from storage solutions to strategically placed windows, maximized space and light, turning architectural hurdles into design highlights.

A Space for Both Privacy and Togetherness

Each sister now enjoys her own cozy bedroom, complete with personalized touches that reflect her style. However, the design keeps them connected through shared spaces: a modern, well-appointed bathroom and a comfortable TV lounge where they can spend time together. This thoughtful balance between private retreats and communal areas ensures that the attic suite functions as both a sanctuary and a shared living space.

A Dream Suite Brought to Life

With the renovation now complete, the sisters have moved into their new rooms, each enjoying the freedom of having her own space while still staying close. The shared bathroom and lounge add a sense of unity, making the attic feel like their own private world within the home.
